Meet Charlie! He is a 3-fingered juvenile male sloth that was found by a few good samaritans tourists.
He was sitting almost on the ground and had not moved from the position in 3 days when the tourists decided to call us.
After examining him it was revealed that Charlie was severely anemic, extremely weak and had a bad bacterial infection…no wonder he wasn’t able to move! With careful medication, proper diet and a little TLC Charlie is starting to make a recovery. It’s going to take a while for his anemia to completely resolve but he is doing so much better than when he first came in. We are very hopeful that he will make a complete recovery.
Send Charlie your well wishes on a speedy recovery in the comments below!
Hello, was this the little guy found at Costa Verde back in March?
Hello!
I’ve recently stumbled upon you page and was interested in maybe adopting a sloth one day. I’ve taken a liking to Charlie because he just looks so cute haha. I was wondering how he’s doing nowadays since he’s been at TSI?
Best regards,
Mel
