Cinderella is a juvenile 3-fingered sloth that has been at the Sloth Institute for about 7 months. When she first was found she was very sick and very young and now she is much healthier and stronger and ready to be released back into the wild!
With this release TSI decided not to put a tracking collar on Cinderella. We decided to release her back in an area that is close to where she was found, near a beach, with interesting and easy trees to climb and feed on. This particular area where she is being released is a little farther than normal from where we can monitor her so it would be hard to study her and we don’t want to risk not being able to catch her and taking her collar off in the future. Because she is a juvenile she will continue growing so it just would not be the best option for her case.
