Meet Mildred!
Recently we received a call about a three-fingered female sloth that was on the ground at a beach in Manuel, Antonio. She could barely move and was very weak, her first night with us she was in critical condition.
During our regular exams with her, which includes blood work analysis and a thorough physical, she proved to be very anemic and had a bacterial and fungal infection as well as mange (a mite infection). We started her medical treatments and within a few days, Mildred was already feeling much better. Today she is enjoying a delicious, fresh leaf diet along with regular baths and sunshine. We feel she should make a full recovery and will be able to be released in a few months!
