ConservationSloth Diaries
Since sloths are cathemeral, which means they are active day and night, TSI’s sloth team have adapted to be cathemeral too!
Here is a sloth rescued in the daytime. We moved him to safety after he was found near dangerous power lines.
In the late evening, this sloth fell out of a tree. We monitored him for a few hours until we were sure he did not sustain any injuries.
Sloths belong in the wild, so although we choose to intervene for their safety, our main goal is always to return them back to the rainforest where they belong.
